VISION STATEMENT
"St James is an inclusive community of people who seek together to discern the transforming presence of God in the world and in their own lives, and to respond to that discovery through worship, mission, hospitality, conversation and care".
We will live out this vision of ministry by:
• exploring progressive religious thinking (by which we mean being a 'niche' church);
• nurturing a spirituality in the here and now;
• offering a variety of worship styles, study, and experiences;
• becoming a more welcoming, open, caring and nurturing people;
• connecting with people of other churches, of other faiths, and with those who have stepped outside the church institution ('exiles');
• standing alongside the marginalised, and
• helping to serve the needs, where possible, of the local communities in the region.
